Grameen Sahara is a not-for-profit social organization founded in 2002, dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihood models for marginalized communities across Northeast India, with a magnified focus in Assam. Registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860, the organization has been active for over two decades to improve the quality of life of underserved communities through comprehensive development interventions. Based in the district of Kamrup, Assam, Grameen Sahara combines technical and financial assistance with environmentally sustainable practices, helping communities strengthen income-generating activities without compromising ecological balance. Supported by government and private donor agencies, corporations, banks, foundations, and multilateral organizations, the organization continues its journey of enabling equitable growth and resilient livelihoods.
